Autumn Turns Five

Autumn chose Chuck E. Cheese for her fun activity on her birthday! I let her take one friend, since she doesn't get a party this year, and she asked if Isabelle could come. Man, what a blast that Chuck E. Cheese...for the kids at least!

Back to School!

Autumn just began Pre-K, and Porter is in grade one. They are both really enjoying school, their friends, and their teachers! I am going to be involved quite a bit at the school this year. I was voted in as PTA Treasurer last night, and I will be volunteering on Monday mornings. I love our little school, so it will be fun! A side note about school...it sure is different walking home from the bus with Autumn as opposed to Porter. I get a whole lot of information about the day...plus a little that didn't really take place. :)

Marik Turns One!

Please, sir, could I have some more? (Imagine British accent here...) Marik loves food, so just having a meal and some cake was good enough for him on his birthday! He loved it! We just celebrated with our family. The favorite way, for me at least. I still don't really enjoy large birthday parties, just like when I was a bratty little kid. My poor mom and dad....I sure loved their tradition of only having a party on the even number birthdays, so I have adopted that tradition, partly for my sanity! It is a good year around here...All odd birthdays this year!

Summer '07

Edwards girls....aren't they cute?! We have some pictures with all of the Edwards cousins, but they are on David's computer, so I will post them as soon as I get a chance. We loved spending time with our Edwards cousins. We are so lucky to have such a great family with so many fun people to hang out with!

10 Year Reunion

So...the much anticipated 10-year reunion has come and gone. It went really well, and it was so great to see everyone that I went to high school with. Plus, many that I was with starting in Kindergarten. We did do some group shots, but, unfortunately we waited until the end when some people had left, and others were in...lets just say they weren't in the best condition! I love Three Hills, and I was so lucky to grow up with such great people!

Buddies?

I think Marik just might be getting use to all the "attention" he gets from Autumn. This morning he even let her do the thing where she holds him on her lap and shakes him around. He looks almost bigger than her, so I am sure once he starts walking, he will be able to hold his own. For now, he just pushes her face away a lot!

We went to six flags with our friends Kathy and Thomas Joyner. It was so much fun! It is so great in the heat to go from the water park right to the rides. I was suprised how much more brave Autumn and Porter were on the rides compared to usual. Marik would have loved to splash in the water all day!

Well..the kids faces were cut off, but I wanted to post these pictures anyway! My good friend Whitni, and her husband Brent, and son Asher came to visit, and she took some great pictures of us. I thought I had posted some already...good memory!

Grandma Cahoon Comes to Visit!

We stayed at a fun hotel in Lancaster with grandma, and Marik was able to go swimming for the first time. He loved it! Porter and Autumn had a great time as well...it has been a while!

Grandma took us to Hershey Park. We love the chocolate tour! I have nothing else to say, but I am a little annoyed because I can't figure out how to change the size of these pictures. I guess I could redo it, or I could fill in this space by talking about nothing, which I am great at....sometimes.

nice to have her here the following week as well. It was a busy week and she helped out so much, and we had a lot of fun!

New York Trip

On Easter weekend I went to New York with my friends Holly and Amy. It was dang cold, but we had a blast! We stayed right in Times Square, and it was so neat to see all the places I have seen in the movies! A highlight of the trip was that the star of the Broadway show we went to was none other than Jonothan Crombie....Gilbert Blythe from Anne of Green Gables! It was so exciting to meet him! I was wanting to see someone famous! I have to admit that I am not too into cities, but it is true what they say, New York really does have such an exciting feel. I really loved it! It was also so great just to get away and have fun with my friends.

Reading

Marik was way into this book Porter was reading him. He loves books, but mostly just for the feel of them in his mouth!

Porter loses his first tooth!

Porter was pretty tough when he ripped that sucker out! He is pretty excited about his four quarters from the tooth fairy, and he informed me this morning that he was going to buy a dinosaur with it.

Merry Christmas!

We had a great Christmas here in Glen Burnie. We had dad all to ourselves and spent a lot of time with friends and just hanging out!

Porter turns 6!

Porter wanted to go swimming for his birthday, so we braved taking quite a few kids to the new indoor pool in Glen Burnie! It was pretty crazy, but I think everyone had a good time!
