11 Years Old

One of the things that we did for Porter's 11th Brithday was go to a ceramics place in Gainesville to paint since he is such a talented artist!  He did a great job!
He is such a fun boy, like by all his peers, teachers and family.  I am so glad to have such a good example for my oldest child!

First Day of School!

All three of our kids are now in school! I am now babysitting an infant, so I don't have all my days quiet and easy at home, but they are there, and man do I feel the pressure to be productive. Hopefully I will get in the swing of that quickly!
It was a last minute decision to put Marik in Kindergarten since he just turned 5, but since we are now moving to Boston next year, we decided that we can do Kindergarten in two different states. This way he has some structure during the day. I was excited about it, but I was a little sad when I sent him to school. He is my baby, so that is how it is, I guess. He is loving it so far.

Porter has Ms. Falla this year and likes her a lot. He is such a great student I am sure any teacher is glad to have him in their class.
Autumn's teacher Ms. Brochu is a young, very organized, wonderful teacher. She is really nice and Autumn is thrilled (which she always is, but I am too. :)
Marik has Ms. Moore and is really liking school. Last year Autumn was listing her favorite friends at school and listed Ms. Moore as one of them, so she must be pretty great. She was the only adult on Autumn's list.

5 Years Old!

I can't believe that Marik has been entertaining us for 5 years! We decided he is the comedian of our family. He is always making us laugh at the cute things he says and does.
Marik ended up having his first day of school on his birthday, so I brought Chick Fila for lunch for him and cupcakes for his class. Kindergarten kids are the cutest!
As it is an odd year birthday, we didn't have a party, and Marik decided he wanted to go bowling. I'm not sure he has done it before, but he did pretty good, especially after we discovered the metal guide that kids can put their ball on and just push it. We also had bumpers, so even I bowled pretty well.

Edwards cousins

There were 3 Edwards cousins we hadn't met before this trip. I wish we lived closer. Autumn and I could sure use a lot more time holding these cute little babies. Alexander was born last September, and Karen and Andrea were born in April. I am almost positive that Andrea is on the left and Karen is sleeping in this picture.

It wouldn't be an Edwards gathering without a race with Uncle James, and some fun relays lead by Aunt Dorothy.
Can't forget the Edwards family talent show. :) These kids have confidence and are quite the talented performers. I will try to add a video or two.

Great Grandma and Grandpa Campbell. What a great family we have and we are so glad that Grandpa is doing well. I don't know why I don't have pictures of any grandparents...we will have to do better next time, or just take a lot of pictures when they come visit us. :)

Painting at "Lacombe Days".
Tubing at Riverbend was a highlight for the kids...we spent many hours there!

GuZoo

GuZoo is the best zoo in the world, and it was a couple of miles from where I grew up. Lame people keep trying to shut it down, but have been unsuccessful so far, thank goodness. My kids love it, because you get to handle the animals, and feed them.

If you live in Alberta, make sure you visit GuZoo in Three Hills!

This is the owner of GuZoo. He was so nice and made our zoo experience even more fun. He dared Porter (who he swore was Darren long ago...threw him off a little) to feed the camels like he is doing here. Porter didn't go for it, so of course I had to....

Montana

Bad picture, but how beautiful is this??

Autumn could most often be found holding one of her newest cousins on our trip. At the cabin it was Carter...I think he is one of the cutest babies on the planet!

Raymond

I was pretty proud of this shot...you can see the hail coming down if you look closely. :) We had some weird weather this trip!
Raymond has the best outdoor pool ever! Marik and Porter with their cute cousin Jensen.
Aunt Cheryl giving Autumn her awesome new haircut!
Porter with Grandpa Cahoon. Grandpa can even make street cleaning fun...although you can't tell how much fun by their expressions.
More cute cousins...Halle and Alivia, with Aunt Erin and uncle Darren. Suuurrre love ya! Family cheer. Cutest family ever. :)

Happy Canada Day!

It's been a while since we have been able to be in Canada to celebrate July 1st with our relatives! We had a blast in Raymond...they know how to throw a party and how to do a parade right!
My Aunt Cindy hosted for our Jensen relatives to get together at her house after the parade, and it was great to get together with all of my cousins, aunts and uncles.
Marik learned how to rope a calf...almost.
Such cute little Canadians. Well, one is technically an american, but we can pretend. :)

Cub Scout Day Camp

This was Porter's 3rd year braving the heat of Florida for cub scout day camp. He would say it is worth it. They get to do all kinds of cool boy stuff like archery, target practice, skits, searching for shark's teeth, etc.
Who better to go with then the best pal ever, Preston?! There were more boys from our troop this year as well to enjoy it with...Andrew and Ian!

Marik Graduates!

Our handsome preschool graduate! He's really had a great year at Abacus, made some great friends, and learned a lot; including knowing the location of his trapezius.

Miss Susan (above) and Miss Melissa (below) were amazing and sweet teachers. We will miss our teachers and friends next year!
